Long established South Australian artist Kira Bayliss, is now combining both her love of fashion and art. Moving away from canvas and wood Kira has been exploring new techniques and textile.
Creating her Collection with her mum and long standing artist Yvonne Dixon. Never was there a time that art wasn’t a part of the relationship they shared. Kira is a mum, wife and chef. This form of artistic expression helps her relax. Creating something beautiful and meaningful from scratch is so rewarding. Kira draws inspiration from nature.Uses flora in many of her designs.
Art is a form of self-expression and self-discovery. It allows her to explore her own creativity and push it to its limits, meanwhile finding out new things about herself. Thoughtfully made. Reclaiming fabrics and up cycling fabrics is a new exploration.
Creating one off wearable art pieces makes her work truly limited edition pieces. Made to order. This process is the opposite of fast fashion. Exclusive, considered, beautiful and each unique.
